1. Overview

Faith Habit Builder ("the App") is developed by Heptagono Group SpA, operating under the Seven Sides Technology brand. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.

2. Data We Collect

To provide cloud sync and family sharing, the App collects the following minimum data:

  • Email address — used solely as your account identifier for sign-in and password reset. We never share, sell, or use it for marketing.
  • Hashed password — never stored in plain text. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth using industry-standard bcrypt hashing.
  • App preferences — your selected language, theme (light/dark), and notification settings.
  • Spiritual progress data — daily completion records, prayer streaks, favorited verses, gratitude jar entries, and prayer wall posts you create.
  • Family connection data— when you use Family Sharing, we store a link between your account and your family member's account, plus a 6-character share code you generate.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do NOT collect, store, or process:

  • ❌ Your real name (only the email you choose to sign up with)
  • ❌ Phone numbers
  • ❌ Location data of any kind
  • ❌ Photos, camera access, or media from your device
  • ❌ Contacts
  • ❌ Financial or payment information (the app is free and contains no purchases)
  • ❌ Advertising identifiers (IDFA, AAID)
  • ❌ Analytics or behavioral tracking data
  • ❌ Crash logs containing personal data

4. Family Sharing

When you use the Family Sharing feature:

  • You generate or enter a 6-character share code
  • The server links your account with your family member's account
  • Only streak counts and completion statistics are shared between you
  • Your email is never shown to the other party
  • Display names shown in the app come from each user's local device storage
  • Either party can disconnect at any time from the Profile screen

5. Prayer Wall

Prayer intentions you post to the public Prayer Wall are visible to all other users of the App. Posts are anonymous — your email is never displayed. Do not include personally identifying information in your prayer requests.

6. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following third-party services:

  • Supabase (database + authentication hosting, EU region) — stores your account data and progress. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
  • Render.com (backend API hosting, US region) — processes API requests between the App and the database. No data is stored permanently on Render. See Render Privacy Policy.
  • Expo (app framework) — used for over-the-air updates only. No personal data collection.

We do NOT use Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, advertising networks, or any third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

7. Data Security

  • All data transmission uses TLS 1.2+ (HTTPS) encryption
  • Passwords are hashed with bcrypt before storage — we never see your real password
  • Database access is protected by row-level security (RLS) — you can only access your own data
  • The backend uses a service-role key stored only on our servers, never exposed to the app

8. Children's Privacy

The App is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 beyond the email address required for account creation. If a parent believes their child has created an account, they may request deletion at admin@sevensides.technology.

9. Your Rights — Account Deletion

You have full control over your data:

  • Delete your account at any time — Open the App → Profile tab → Delete Account button. This permanently removes your email, password hash, all progress data, family connections, and prayer wall posts. The deletion is immediate and irreversible.
  • Disconnect from family sharing — Profile → Family Sharing → Disconnect
  • Export your data — Email admin@sevensides.technology and we will provide your data within 30 days (per GDPR Article 15)
  • Correction — All your data is editable in the App settings

10. GDPR / CCPA Compliance

We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Your rights include access, rectification, erasure, data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Legal basis for processing under GDPR: Article 6(1)(b) — performance of a contract (providing the app service you signed up for).

11. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed within 30 days. Prayer wall posts are permanently removed at the same time as the account that created them.

12. International Data Transfers

Data is stored in Supabase's EU region (Frankfurt, Germany). API processing happens on Render.com servers in the United States. By using the App, you consent to these transfers, which are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

13. Bible Content

Faith Habit Builder uses only public domain Bible translations (King James Version, Sagradas Escrituras, Louis Segond, Almeida, Arabic Smith & Van Dyke, and others). No copyrighted Bible text is used.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification.
